Your role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Fioneer Financial Control (FC) functional consultant to support the implementation and optimization of the financial control process. The role requires a strong blend of functional expertise, stakeholder engagement, and SAP product knowledge to translate business requirements into effective solutions. The position will play a critical role in driving the design, implementation and adoption of the Fioneer financial control module, while ensuring alignment with broader SAP finance architecture.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support the implementation of SAP Fioneer Financial control module, including requirement gathering, solution design and deployment.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand financial control requirements, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs
• Provide subject matter expertise on financial control processes (reconciliation, substantiation, reporting)
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate system configuration and integration.
• Evaluate existing processes and recommend best practices and optimization opportunities.
• Support UAT, training, and post implementation stabilization.
• Support the transition from legacy financial control systems to SAP Fioneer financial control including process assessment, gap analysis and migration support.
• Partner with vendor to drive co-innovation and solution enhancements aligned and business and control requirements.
• Act as a bridge between business and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Provide inputs on data models, controls, and governance frameworks related to financial control.

"You will join the SAP Transformation team, working closely with Group Finance, Finance Domain Leads, Design Authority, Data & Integration Architecture, and Testing, Deployment and Change teams.
You will operate in a highly collaborative, matrix environment, influencing across business and technology functions, and partnering with senior stakeholders to drive alignment and successful delivery at scale."

Your expertise

• Strong functional experience in implementing SAP Fioneer Financial Control, specifically balance sheet reconciliation and account substantiation within a banking or financial services environment including functional configurations, process design and end-to-end rollout.
• Proven experience with SAP Fioneer Financial Control, particularly:
 Design and configuration of reconciliation lifecycle workflows (preparer/reviewer workflows, certification, signoffs)
 Design and implementation of account Substantiation frameworks within SAP Fioneer Financial control including standard templates, documentation requirements, drill down between balances and underlying transactions and certification workflows, to ensure auditability, traceability and compliance with internal control standards.
• Design of exception/break management frameworks, including aging and escalation mechanisms
• Ability to define and implement close governance frameworks, including close calendars, task management, KPIs/KRIs for reconciliation completeness and control effectiveness.
• Experience working with high volume balance sheet accounts and complex subledger integrations
• Familiarity with SAP finance landscape and integration touchpoints impacting reconciliation and close.
• Proven experience in replacing or migrating from legacy reconciliation/substantiation tools to SAP based solutions including process mapping (as-is vs to-be), gap analysis and control design, data migration and reconciliation between legacy and target systems.
• Experience supporting UAT, parallel runs, and cutover activities during large-scale finance transformation programs
