Your role
The role involves close collaboration with sales and trading, technology, quantitative teams, and internal infrastructure partners, as well as interaction with clients and external venues when required.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the operation and ongoing enhancement of UBS ATS platforms within a low latency electronic trading environment
• Monitor ATS performance, trading behavior, and market dynamics to ensure optimal execution quality and platform stability
• Act as a front office liaison between trading, technology, quantitative, and infrastructure teams
• Analyze trading data and system behavior to identify opportunities for optimization and automation
• Contribute to new feature development, platform enhancements, and workflow improvements
• Clearly communicate complex technical or market structure concepts to internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, clients
• Assist with incident management, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution in time sensitive environments
• Contribute to ATS sales and relationship management efforts for new and existing clients
• Support the onboarding of new clients to the UBS ATS
Required Qualifications
• Knowledge of equities market structure and alternative trading systems (ATSs)
• Experience working in low latency electronic trading environments (front office, trading, or trading adjacent roles)
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast paced, front office setting with multiple stakeholders
• Exhibits strong awareness and sound judgment in managing firm risk

Your team
The UBS ATS team is seeking somebody to support the day to day operation, development, and strategic evolution of UBS’s alternative trading systems. This is a front office role requiring understanding of equity market structure, electronic trading workflows, and low latency environments, combined with strong communication skills and technical aptitude. This role will offer exposure to a vast range of client types including but not limited to Institutions, Agency Broker Dealers, Principal Broker Dealers (High Frequency Trading), retail broker dealers, and internal UBS trading desks.
Your expertise
Required Technical Skills
• Basic understanding of networking and trading infrastructure (e.g., latency, connectivity, hardware considerations)
• Proficiency in SQL scripting for data mining, analysis, reporting, and operational workflows
• Comfort working with large datasets and production trading systems
Preferred / Nice to Have Skills
• Scripting experience in additional languages (e.g., Python, Q, Java, etc.) to automate processes and workflows
• Ability to design or build internal web based tools or interfaces for monitoring, analytics, or operational efficiency
• Familiarity with post trade analytics, real time monitoring tools, or electronic trading metrics

Salary information
The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - New York - New York min USD 137500 - max USD 160000 /annum
The expected salary for this role will be determined by relevant factors which may include but are not limited to, role-required experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level.
