Your role
Are you a commercially minded relationship banker with strong judgement, deep investor connectivity and a clear understanding of how institutional LPs evaluate private markets opportunities?
We’re looking for a Distribution Banker to join the Private Funds Group (PFG) within Investment Banking, Global Banking, APAC. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with institutional LPs and large family offices across APAC, and for helping clients raise capital across a range of private markets solutions including primary fundraises, co-investments and GP-led secondary transactions.
You will act as a trusted adviser internally and externally — bringing together investor insight, market judgement and disciplined execution to help shape fundraising outcomes and deepen the firm’s franchise with both LPs and private markets sponsors.
We’re looking for someone who can:
• Originate, develop and own senior relationships with institutional LPs and large family offices across APAC, acting as a credible and consistent point of contact for the firm.
• Market private markets opportunities to investors across a range of solutions, including private equity funds, co-investments and GP-led secondaries, tailoring the message to investor appetite, pacing, governance processes and portfolio construction considerations.
• Drive LP coverage and engagement strategy by identifying relevant investors, prioritising outreach, coordinating meetings and roadshows, and maintaining a strong feedback loop on investor sentiment, diligence progress and next steps.
• Translate investor insight into actionable fundraising advice for internal deal teams and GP clients, including views on positioning, likely LP receptivity, anchor prospects, objections, process risks and areas requiring refinement.
• Coordinate effectively with internal partners, including origination, execution and product teams, to ensure consistent messaging, smooth investor engagement and disciplined follow-up throughout a live fundraising process.
• Help shape LP coverage strategy for the broader team, sharing market intelligence, mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to a thoughtful, well-coordinated coverage model across APAC.
• Operate to the highest professional, ethical, regulatory and legal standards, while maintaining strong client judgement and protecting the firm’s reputation in the market.
