Your role

We are looking for a Marketing Strategist to support the UBS Global Wealth Management (GWM) business across the APAC region. Working as part of the regional Market Coverage team, you will set a clear, data-informed direction for brand and marketing activation across APAC countries and segments, ensure alignment with divisional priorities, and orchestrate partnerships that amplify growth, reputation, and client impact.

Scope & Impact
• Work with the GWM regional marketing heads for Greater China, SEA/Japan and Australia and APAC Head of Marketing to shape the end-to-end Brand & Marketing planning process, integrating funnel goals and in-market priorities to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Partner with IB and AM Marketing coverage and Media and Communications teams to foster stronger cross-divisional coordination and One Bank brand and marketing initiatives
• Provide strategic guidance on value propositions, go-to-market strategies, key growth projects in partnership with the business and ensure narratives remain coherent and client-centric.
• Lead a team specialised in digital client acquisition marketing efforts, collaborating across functions, divisions and external partners to design and execute innovative campaigns that drive awareness, interest and engagement in new and existing audiences
• Work hand in hand with Marketing Excellence Labs (MELs), leveraging their expertise and insight for the benefit of the APAC region to deliver efficient and effective campaigns that grow existing clients and generate leads.
• Act as a senior marketing advisor with an increased focus on Australia as a new and valuable GWM book and where IB is already strong and Japan where the business across the Group is ambitious to grow further.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning
• Help define GWM’s multi-year marketing strategy and annual plan, including objectives by funnel stage and region, target-setting approach, and governance cadence.
• Translate strategic priorities into integrated campaign roadmaps, briefing requirements, and KPIs; ensure consistency between top-funnel brand goals and mid/bottom-funnel performance targets.
• Maintain a live portfolio view of programs, reallocating resources to the highest-impact opportunities amid constrained budgets and competitive noise.

Regional & Cross-Divisional Support
• Provide an objective APAC-wide perspective to avoid fragmented approaches and ensure cohesive regional strategy.
• Support a cross-divisional construct offering strategic advice and partnering with on-the-ground teams to deliver integrated outcomes. Seek out efficiencies by collaborating with IB, AM and P&C divisions to collectively achieve positive business and client outcomes.
• Bring to life regional on-the-ground knowledge of client behaviours and market dynamics for the benefit of all APAC country plans.

Briefing & Creative Excellence
• Co-create creative/media briefs that demand non-traditional ideas capable of breaking through clutter and driving earned amplification; steward agencies / internal teams to that quality bar.
• Ensure briefs specify funnel requirements by market and articulate how partners will support GWM to align targets and evaluation frameworks.

Measurement & Optimization
• Set and socialize measurement frameworks linking funnel progression to accelerate acquisition and business outcomes; run quarterly reviews to optimize mix, creative, and partnerships against target deltas.
• Champion test-and-learn performance marketing (new formats/channels, neuroscience or message testing) to continuously sharpen propositions and creative effectiveness.

The Global Wealth Management (GWM) Marketing team partners and collaborates with GWM to support business on communications, marketing strategy, data and analytics while supporting the broader GWM overall strategic direction of the firm using client insights, Client Advisor sentiment and market research and analytics to ensure we are personalized, relevant, on-time and seamless.

Your expertise

• Leadership experience in global brand/marketing strategy and planning, across financial services with wealth management as a preference and multi-division organizations.
• Proven experience in APAC region with knowledge of regional media environment, client behaviour and event landscape
• Track record of building high-impact marketing strategy and programs that deliver tangible results including sophisticated digital client acquisition campaigns and platforms
• Advanced capability in setting multi-market funnel targets, measurement frameworks, and governance rhythms.
• Proven experience in roles requiring strategic partnership, stakeholder management
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to build trust and engagement across diverse teams
• Strong organizational and project management expertise, with a people-centric approach.
