Your role
Are you curious how a client advisor can service clients from different countries? Are you able to distil complex information to make it simple and relevant?
Effective cross-border risk management is important to our continued success as a global wealth manager. We're looking for a Subject-Matter-Expert for APAC Business Risk Organisation (APAC BRO) to:
• be part of the GWM APAC Cross-border Competency Centre, covering Cross-border Framework and Cross-border Product Alignment Rules (PAR).
• provide 1st line advice and training to Markets relating to policy/framework matters, travel processes, and country-specific restrictions
• manage the various APAC Lead Market Head (LMH) report reviews by collaborating with stakeholders for submission to senior committees (e.g. Global Cross-border Operating Committee)
• be the GWM APAC voice in global forums by representing APAC regional interests, taking decisions, escalating issues and cascading information
• implement small changes to the framework, processes or related IT capabilities for GWM APAC
• provide subject-matter-expertise to innovation and digital projects.

Your team
You’ll be working in the UBS Global Wealth Management Asia Pacific (GWM APAC) Regional Business Risk Organization (APAC BRO Competency Centres) based in Hong Kong / Singapore. We support the GWM APAC business as the first-line risk sparring partners with the goal to (i) support UBS' Cross-border business growth while (ii) ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, frameworks and governance. We actively engage and collaborate with the Business, Ops, IT, Legal, Compliance, Tax, Products and Capabilities Teams regionally and globally in order to achieve global consistency.
Your expertise
• university degree, preferably in Business or Finance discipline
• at least 10 years of proven experience in wealth management industry and/or risk and regulatory management
• strong communication, written and presentation skills
• strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
• experience with engaging senior management stakeholders is preferred
• proactive and resilient team player with ability to work independently
• familiarity with managing IT-related change project is an advantage
• strong in usage of MS Office applications.
