Role Summary
We are seeking an Associate Director to join the APAC Equity Derivatives Trading desk in Hong Kong. The role focuses on pricing, trading, and risk managing equity derivatives products across Asian markets. You will partner closely with Sales, Structuring, Quant and IT teams to deliver client solutions, manage risk exposures, and identify trading opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Price, execute, and risk manage equity derivatives books across APAC markets
• Conduct market analysis and identify trading opportunities
• Partner with Sales to provide timely pricing, execution support, and client insights
• Collaborate with Structuring and Quants on product development and pricing methodologies
• Contribute to analytics, tooling, and automation initiatives (e.g., Python)
• Ensure adherence to risk controls and regulatory requirements
• Operate effectively in a high-pressure environment with strong decision-making

Your team
You will be part of the APAC Equity Derivatives Trading team covering regional markets (Japan, Korea, Hongkong, Singapore, Taiwan etc). The desk works closely with:
• Sales (client pricing & market color)
• Structuring (product design)
• Quants (models & analytics)
• IT (platform)
• Risk & Operations (controls & lifecycle management)
Your expertise
• 2–5 years’ experience in equity derivatives trading, structuring, or related role
• Demonstrated market interest, intuition, and risk awareness
• Understanding of equity derivatives, including options and exotics
• Strong numerical and analytical skills. Coding ability (Python or similar) preferred
• Resilient and adaptable in a demanding trading environment. Ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance or related discipline
