Your role

• Are you a DevOps engineer with experience with on-prem and Cloud based projects? Do you like the challenging world of development tooling? Are you confident in delivering the objectives within highly complex projects?

We’re looking for DevOps Engineer to:
• Lead the design, implementation, and management of systems to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Oversee and optimize artifact repositories using Sonatype Nexus, ensuring secure and efficient storage and retrieval of build artifacts.
• propose and implement systems enhancements
• Improve security posture of the development tools and applications built using the tools
• Analyze complexity and feasibility of new or changed requirements
• Monitor and troubleshoot build and deployment issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure minimal downtime.
• Within specified architecture, define platform requirement sizing and controlling components
• Monitor usage and performance, and troubleshoot server and software issues
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in all DevOps processes.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• plan, evaluate, migrate, develop, implement, configure, test and roll out systems (hardware or software, networks, controls)

Your team

You'll be working in the Core Platform Engineering team, within Group Technology Services division. You’ll be focusing on DevOps tools engineering, Azure infrastructure. Initially concentrating on Artifact Management and the redesign of our Repository infrastructure and migrations of existing on prem infrastructure to cloud. The team is truly agile and distributed across multiple locations, as a result you will gain valuable experience working with world-class IT and Banking expertise (including Europe, US and APAC). Your expertise

10+ years of work experience with good knowledge of RedHat Linux / Unix environments with scripting skills
• Administration and Installation experience in Azure Kubernetes Service
• Enterprise level application administration and support experience.
• Working experience in configuring project build automation using Maven, Gradle, etc.
• Strong background regarding Continuous Integration build chain and the tools and development processes behind
• Good understanding of Networking and storage
• Strong knowledge of terraform and helm
• Strong expertise in artifact management using Nexus Repository Manager / Nexus Lifecycle (IQ)
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI or similar.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
