Are you comfortable working in a second line of defense role, able to provide independent analysis and an “effective challenge” to the 1LoD, while remaining pragmatic?
Are you able to react quickly and with sound judgment, balancing business objectives with legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements?
In this role, you will support second line of defense (2LoD) Operational Risk and Compliance activities for Global Wealth Management (GWM) as well as for support functions (HR, Finance, Operations, etc.).
You will work under the supervision of the Head of Operational Risk Control (ORC) and senior team members, contributing to risk monitoring, risk assessments, reporting, and control activities, while developing your expertise in non-financial risks.
This role is particularly suited to a junior profile looking to build a strong foundation in operational risk, compliance, and regulatory matters within a structured environment.
Your responsibilities
Support Operational Risk Control and Compliance (second line of defense) activities for GWM and support functions at the local level.
Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of the non-financial risk framework, in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Participate in key risk management processes (RCSA, incidents, Front-to-Back controls, risk appetite) and ensure escalation of identified risks.
Prepare and consolidate reporting, risk analyses, and governance materials, as well as track remediation action plans.
Support second-level controls, thematic reviews (AML/KYC, fraud, suitability, etc.), and interactions with audit and regulatory authorities.

You will join the ORC team in Monaco. The mandate of ORC is to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks within the GWM business and at the Monaco location level. The team ensures that the operational control framework is effective, agile, and aligned with local regulatory requirements.
Ce que nous souhaitons
• Experience in an international bank, audit firm, or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Finance or Risk Management as a minimum.
• Good knowledge of the regulatory framework (e.g. Arrêté of 3 November 2014, ACPR guidelines, Financial Activities Law, etc.).
• Ability to understand banking products and services, as well as the specificities of Wealth Management.
• Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to propose pragmatic solutions to mitigate risks.
• Results-oriented, assertive, and comfortable operating in demanding environments.
• Proficiency in both French and English.
