Your role
Are you a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and a passion for driving complex M&A transactions? Do you combine rigorous financial analysis with the ability to deliver clear insights to senior stakeholders?
We’re looking for an Associate Director to:
• support and selectively lead strategic M&A initiatives across UBS Group
• identify, evaluate and execute M&A transactions and related strategic projects end-to-end
• conduct detailed market research, financial analysis and valuation work to assess potential targets and strategic options
• develop and maintain complex financial models to support decision-making
• synthesize quantitative and qualitative analyses into clear, concise recommendations for senior management
• prepare high-quality presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders
• collaborate closely with business divisions, group functions and external advisors

Your team
You’ll be part of the Group M&A team, which is responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing inorganic opportunities across UBS. The team manages transactions end-to-end and advises senior leadership on strategic M&A priorities.
We work closely with the Group Executive Board, business divisions, control functions and external partners, playing a key role in shaping UBS’s strategic direction.
Your expertise
• strong academic background with a university degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field
• solid experience in investment banking (preferably within Financial Institutions Group), corporate finance, or a comparable role
• proven expertise in valuation, financial modelling and transaction execution
• outstanding analytical skills with the ability to structure complex problems and identify key value drivers
• strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly and concisely
• advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
• team-oriented, proactive and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
• high level of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail
• fluent in English; German is a plus
