Your role
Are you a seasoned lending professional with deep Lombard expertise and a strong sense of ownership? Do you enjoy leading people while remaining hands on in complex transactions and strategic initiatives?
We are looking for a Director – Team Lead Lombard Lending & Deposits to lead the delivery of secured lending and deposits solutions in Taiwan. This is a senior role combining client-facing origination, product ownership and line management responsibility, with accountability for business growth, risk stewardship and people development.
In this role, you will be accountable for:
Lombard Lending Origination & Structuring
• act as the senior subject matter expert for Lombard lending in Taiwan, supporting Client Advisors and clients across the end to end financing lifecycle
• originate, structure and execute complex and bespoke Lombard lending transactions
o act as transaction lead for higher-risk or strategically important cases
o provide subject matter expertise and guidance for smaller/ less complex transactions
• develop and promote leverage solutions to client advisors to generate client interest and leverage demand
• drive sales momentum and conversion by identifying lending opportunities within existing and new client relationships
• provide expert guidance on pricing, leverage, structuring and risk trade offs, ensuring appropriate and sustainable use of credit
• participate in selected direct client interactions alongside Client Advisors to support origination, execution and client education
Deposits Business Ownership & Pricing
• serve as the local functional owner for the deposits business in Taiwan, with responsibility for product oversight, pricing discipline and commercial outcomes
• perform deposit pricing and balance sheet analysis, supporting business decisions and sales initiatives
• design and drive deposit sales campaigns in close partnership with control functions and frontline leadership
• liaise with Group Treasury and Investment Banking on funding considerations, pricing frameworks and group balance sheet preferences
• ensure clear and consistent communication of deposit strategy, pricing guidance and constraints to the business
People & Line Management
• line manage, coach and develop two team members, setting clear objectives and supporting their professional growth
• allocate deal responsibilities and product tasks appropriately, ensuring high-quality execution and knowledge transfer
• foster a strong team culture grounded in collaboration, accountability, risk awareness and client focus
• provide structured feedback, performance input and career guidance in line with UBS people principles
Product, Risk & Control Responsibilities
• maintain ownership of the local Lombard and deposits product shelf, including product maintenance, governance and pricing frameworks
• ensure compliance with local regulation and UBS internal policies, fulfilling first-line risk management responsibilities
• oversee portfolio monitoring, reporting and issue remediation in partnership with Risk, Legal and Compliance
• stay abreast of market developments, competitor activity and regulatory change, proactively adapting local offerings
Strategy, Change & Stakeholder Management
• develop and execute local lending and deposits growth strategies aligned with regional and global objectives
• contribute to new product development and enhancement initiatives with Global Lending distribution teams
• act as the local interface with IT and change teams on system enhancements, process improvements and digitisation initiatives
• collaborate extensively across Wealth Management, Credit Risk, Investments and Banking to deliver integrated client solutions

Your team
You will lead Lombard lending and deposits activities within the Global Lending team in UBS Global Wealth Management Taiwan. The team works closely with Client Advisors, control functions and regional stakeholders to deliver financing and balance sheet solutions to high net worth and ultra high net worth clients.
As a Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping local strategy, driving revenues, developing talent and upholding UBS’s strong risk and client standards.

Your expertise
You have:
• typically 7–12+ years’ experience in lending, credit or structured financing within wealth management, private banking or corporate banking
• deep, hands on expertise in Lombard lending, including complex structuring and credit assessment
• solid understanding of deposit products, pricing dynamics and balance sheet management
• proven experience working with risk and control functions in a regulated environment
• prior people management or mentoring experience is a plus, with the ability to develop junior talent

• a credible senior partner to Client Advisors and internal stakeholders
• highly organised, resilient and able to operate effectively under pressure
• a clear and persuasive communicator, adapting style to different audiences
