Your role

Are you a strategic leader with a deep understanding of investment banking and a passion for driving business performance? UBS is seeking an Investment Banking Coverage & Advisory Management Director to help lead and optimize our Coverage & Advisory platform.

In this role, you will work closely with senior bankers and product partners to shape business strategy, enhance execution across coverage teams, and drive operational excellence. You will serve as a key partner to senior leadership, helping to manage and scale the business while maintaining a strong focus on client delivery and revenue growth.

Your responsibilities:

- Partner with senior Coverage & Advisory leadership to define and execute strategic priorities across industry teams
- Oversee business management activities, including pipeline monitoring, revenue tracking, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Drive coordination across coverage and product partners (M&A, ECM, DCM, LevFin) to ensure efficient transaction execution
- Support and influence origination efforts by identifying trends, client opportunities, and sector-level insights
- Lead key initiatives to improve processes, enhance productivity, and optimize team performance
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships across the Investment Bank, including Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Finance
- Provide leadership and oversight to junior team members, supporting talent development and workflow management
- Contribute to client materials and high-priority transactions as needed, ensuring quality and alignment with UBS standards
- Support regulatory and governance requirements associated with the Coverage & Advisory business

Your team

You’ll be part of UBS’s Investment Bank within the Coverage & Advisory organization, working alongside senior bankers across sectors and regions. The team plays a central role in connecting coverage teams with product partners, ensuring seamless execution and consistent business performance.

Your expertise

Extensive experience (typically 10–15+ years) in investment banking, corporate finance, or business management within a financial services environment
Strong understanding of M&A, capital markets, and client coverage models
Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving strategic initiatives
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Strong analytical skills with experience in financial analysis, reporting, and business planning
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Salary information

The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - New York - New York min USD 172500 - max USD 207500 /annum

The expected salary for this role will be determined by relevant factors which may include but are not limited to, role-required experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level.
