Your role
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
- Provide independent second line of defence oversight and challenge of compliance risks across UBS Asset Management Singapore.
- Act as the senior CORC point of contact for MAS and other local regulators, supporting regulatory engagement, inspections, and issue remediation.
- Ensure timely interpretation, implementation and embedding of regulatory changes impacting Asset Management.
- Support the business in maintaining ongoing regulatory approvals and managing regulatory change in coordination with global and APAC CORC teams.
Operational & Non-Financial Risk Control
- Oversee the identification, assessment and monitoring of operational and broader non-financial risks.
- Provide challenge and approval input into Non-Financial Risk Assessments, New Business Initiatives, and material change initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to the UBS Non-Financial Risk Framework.
- Promote transparency of key risks, issues and events to senior management and governance committees.
Governance, Advisory & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior Asset Management management in Singapore.
- Provide credible challenge and pragmatic advice to first line of defence stakeholders.
- Contribute to local, regional and global governance forums.
- Coordinate effectively with other control functions.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, develop and retain a high-performing CORC AM team in Singapore.
- Set clear objectives and accountability in line with UBS leadership expectations.
- Foster a strong risk and compliance culture.
Regional & Global Alignment
- Act as an integral part of the APAC CORC AM leadership team.
- Ensure consistency with global standards while reflecting local requirements.
- Support cross-border initiatives and projects.

The Head of Compliance and Operational Risk Control (CORC) for Asset Management in Singapore is a senior leadership role responsible for providing independent oversight, challenge, and control of non-financial risks across UBS Asset Management’s Singapore activities.
The role ensures that compliance, operational, financial crime and related non-financial risks are identified, assessed, managed and reported in line with UBS’s risk appetite, internal frameworks, and local regulatory expectations, particularly those of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
As a senior member of the APAC CORC AM leadership team, the role contributes to the regional strategy and operating model, supports significant business growth, and acts as a key interface with regulators, senior management, and global control functions.
Your expertise
Essential:
- Extensive senior-level experience in compliance or operational risk management.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore asset management regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience engaging regulators and senior stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and judgment skills.
- You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
Desirable:
- Second line of defence experience.
- Cross-border asset management exposure.
- Professional compliance, risk, legal or finance qualifications.
