Your role

Are you curious about how global financial markets stay fair, orderly, and integral? Do you want to understand how leading institutions detect market abuse, manage risk, and leverage data and technology to strengthen compliance?

Your team

You’ll be joining internship programme with the Market Conduct Surveillance Team in Kraków or Wroclaw, as part of a wider EMEA Market Conduct Taxonomy function. The team works closely with regional and global partners across Market Conduct Surveillance and broader Compliance teams. Together, they ensure effective monitoring, robust controls, and alignment with evolving regulatory expectations. In this role, you will:
• Support Market Conduct Surveillance teams in their day-to-day control routines and tasks to build a good understanding of the underlying risks, control standards and framework, dedicated tools, and the IB business
• Provide assistance with strategic projects and governance processes
• Rotate across Market Conduct Surveillance teams to develop knowledge about the local function and learn about different control environments and their complexity.

Your expertise

• A degree in Finance, Law, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field. Students completing last year of relevant education may be considered.
• Genuine interest in financial markets and basic understanding of traded products across asset classes (equities, fixed income, FX)
• Awareness of financial regulation (such as MAR or MiFID II)
• An avid interest in data, technology, or AI applications in business is a plus
• Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail
• Not shy away to form constructive and challenging questions and views
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
