Your role

Are you an experienced hands-on engineering leader who enjoys solving complex technology challenges while shaping the strategic direction of critical data platforms?
We're looking for a Software Engineer Director to provide technical leadership across the Data Analytics and Dashboard Crew. You will combine deep engineering expertise with ownership of delivery outcomes across a portfolio of applications supporting global regulatory reporting controls and oversight processes.
You will:
• design, build and evolve strategic data-driven products, platforms and services that enable regulatory reporting controls, transparency and operational oversight across the firm
• provide technical leadership ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, secure and aligned with engineering standards and control requirements
• engineer reliable data pipelines for sourcing, processing, transforming and distributing high-volume data across the regulatory reporting ecosystem
• drive architecture, design decisions and technology strategy across the crew while remaining actively involved in software engineering and solution delivery
• contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, from ideation and design through implementation, testing, deployment and production support
• partner with product owners, architects, engineers and business stakeholders to deliver strategic platform capabilities and operational improvements
• provide delivery oversight for the wider application portfolio, helping prioritize demand, manage dependencies, drive execution and ensure successful outcomes across multiple initiatives
• mentor engineers, grow technical capability across the organization and help shape the engineering culture through best practices, innovation and knowledge sharing
• drive engineering productivity, automation, cloud optimization and continuous improvement initiatives across the crew
• shape, drive and accelerate AI adoption across the crew and broader engineering organization to improve engineering productivity and delivery effectiveness

• mentor engineers on AI-native ways of working and help establish AI best practices, governance and delivery standards

Your team

You'll be working in the Data Analytics and Dashboard Crew, a strategic technology group that owns and operates a suite of critical platforms and applications that underpin Regulatory Reporting controls, data visualization, data quality, reconciliation, monitoring, workflow and operational oversight capabilities. Our mission is to provide trusted, scalable and highly automated data solutions that strengthen regulatory compliance while creating a modern data foundation for future growth and innovation.
We design and build data platforms that support high-volume regulatory and operational workloads while enabling transparency, control effectiveness and data-driven decision making across the organization.

Your expertise

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering or platform engineering roles with significant hands-on technical leadership experience
• proven track record building and operating large-scale distributed systems and data platforms
• extensive experience designing scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions for large datasets and near real-time analytics
• deep practical expertise in Python, SQL, distributed data processing and cloud-native architectures
• strong experience with Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, Kafka and Azure-based data platforms
• expertise in software architecture, design patterns, testing strategies and modern SDLC practices
• ability to influence technology direction and engineering standards across teams without relying solely on formal authority
• experience leading complex technical delivery while balancing strategic and operational priorities
• strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior business stakeholders, architects and engineering leadership teams
• passion for innovation, engineering excellence and AI-driven transformation
