We’re looking for a Director, Business Risk Specialist to:
• Design and implement, or simplify, processes, controls and tasks, to enhance the UBS Global Family and Institutional Wealth (GFIW) front-to-back processes and risk framework(s), improve efficiency and strengthen the GFIW platform, as tailored to the GFIW business. Expand the Swiss regulatory driven GFIW BRO mandate to implement a systematic overview and review of the overall financial, compliance and conduct risks associated with UBS GFIW clients using cross-divisional services to GFIW-Americas (GFIW-A).
• Act as the GFIW-A Business Risk representative to support the regional GFIW-A Chief Operating Officer and GFIW Global Business Risk Management Head in risk management tasks, including maintenance and production of internal collateral (data, documents, presentations) to enable the business to run smoothly and be appropriately governed and controlled.
• Act as an IT Business Risk Project Manager to ensure relevant GFIW-A data is integrated into the Risk Analytics Engine (RAnE) and the Early Warning System (EWS), and to enable the GFIW Business Risk function to fulfill its Swiss regulatory driven mandate. Identify, evaluate and mitigate risks, proactively formulating holistic solutions.
• Provide expert advice and feedback on issues under functional control. Design and deliver on relevant key projects for GFIW-A senior management, to help drive growth (and, sometimes remediation) of a business with a high growth potential, while also incorporating a vision for best practice. Provide transparent reporting to management, regulators, auditors and other internal units.
• Collaborate globally with colleagues in other internal functions and divisions including control functions (compliance, credit, legal, finance), product teams, investment banking, and interact closely with subject matter experts of various business, strategy, risk and control functions and topics to solve problems and enable business success.

Your expertise
Education & Experience Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience as a Business Risk Manager, Investment Banking Associate, Wealth Management Associate, or a related occupation.
Position requires experience with the following:
• Non-financial risk management framework and cross divisional financial risk indicators; Complex client profiles including family offices, institutional clients, and ultra-high net worth individuals within both Wealth Management and Investment Banking environments; Strategic risk oversight, issue management, and remediation; Strategic control including design, implementation, maintenance, execution and evaluation; Governance, documentation, and policy development; Operational risk management, control and governance frameworks; Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, for high-quality document preparation to articulate significant risk matters to senior management and data analysis required for complex client reviews; Navigating Client Relationship Management (CRM) Systems including Know your Customer documentation, transactions, risk and compliance flags; Development of cross-divisional risk reporting frameworks; Strategic monitoring and oversight to ensure compliance with internal policies, established procedures, and applicable regulatory standards; Conducting comparative data analyses across client data, operational risk indicators, regulatory themes, and end to end business processes to generate actionable insights.

The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role:
• United States - New York - New York min USD 175000 - max USD 180000 /annum
The expected salary for this role will be determined by relevant factors which may include but are not limited to, role-required experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level.
