Your role
Do you want to start your software engineering career by contributing to a modern, event-driven platform? Are you eager to learn how scalable microservices are designed, built, and tested using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka?
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join Post-Trade Accounts and Balances, a modern post-trade accounting platform, and:
• develop and enhance microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, supported by experienced engineers
• implement well-defined features incrementally, keeping solutions simple, clean, and maintainable
• create automated unit, component, and consumer-driven contract tests to build quality and testability into every change
• work with event-driven architecture, REST APIs, messaging, databases, and distributed application patterns
• pair with colleagues on more complex tasks, participate in code reviews, and learn through practical feedback
• contribute to technical and design discussions, ask questions, and share your ideas and perspective
• apply AI-assisted software engineering in practice to support development, testing, problem-solving, and learning
• collaborate within an agile team and gradually build your understanding of modern software engineering principles and practices

Your team
You will join the Kraków-based engineering team responsible for Post-Trade Accounts and Balances, a modern post-trade accounting platform. The team works in Scrum and collaborates with colleagues and stakeholders across other locations.
As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers who will provide guidance, pairing opportunities for more complex tasks, and regular feedback to support your development.
Your expertise
You’ll be a good match if you:
• have basic knowledge of Java, object-oriented programming, and software engineering fundamentals
• have an interest in developing clean, maintainable, simple, and testable software
• are curious, willing to learn, open to feedback, and comfortable contributing your perspective
• have good communication skills and working proficiency in English
• are prepared to use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly by reviewing and validating their outputs
• are available for a full-time internship and can work from the Kraków office at least three days per week
Experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, SQL, or automated testing would be an advantage.
