UBS Asset Management is a large-scale, asset manager with diversified businesses across investment capabilities, regions and distribution channels. It offers investment capabilities and styles across all major traditional and alternative asset classes including equities, fixed income, currencies, hedge funds, real estate, infrastructure and private equity.

To support the daily risk management activities, UBS Asset Management [AM] is looking to hire a Authorized Officer (AO) to support AM Business Risk Management (BRM) in driving and coordinating operational risk activities across various teams.

We’re looking for a MI & Risk Analytics Specialist to:

• Be part of the AM BRM Central Services team ensuring efficient and effective challenge, assessment and management of business risk within the 1st Line of Defense
• Identify emerging risks, systemic issues, & recurring root causes through data-driven analysis and deliver through thematic risk assessments
• Develop and streamline risk reporting through accurate MI, standardized dashboards, adhere to data governance standards and automated reporting solutions
• Develop and improve risk analytics and dashboards by combining data from different sources, while supporting the use of AI and enhancing non-financial risk reporting
• Develop business understanding and front to back excellence in the Asset Management organization to provide value-add risk management expertise across the division
• Translate data into actionable insights, support regulatory and audit requirements, and provide ad hoc analysis/deepdives to support meaningful decisions for the organization

The team

You’ll be working in the Asset Management Chief Operating Officer [COO] organization in Business Risk Management. Our team provides support to the AM COO in the areas of front-to-back operational risk management. In this role, you will work closely with Business Managers, Regional Operating Officers, control functions both at a global and regional level to supports them through centralization of MI and analytics, enabling data-driven risk oversight, thematic analysis and decision-making across AM. You will ensure delivery of high-quality management information, advanced analytics and insight generation to support Asset Management’s Non-Financial Risk framework

Your skills and experience

• A University degree in Business Administration, Finance or other relevant field
• Strong experience in risk analytics, management information, or data-driven roles
• Strong workload and time management skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across functions in a matrix environment
• Ability to manage stakeholders and objectives with conflicting priorities across functions and businesses
• Excellent command of MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Understanding of the Non-Financial Risk framework, including issues, RCSA and risk appetite assessment processes
• Organized, detail-oriented and pragmatic, and able to work under pressure
• Willingness to learn tools for transforming and visualizing data (knowledge of Alteryx, AI tools and/or Power BI is a plus)
