• monitor SCR regulations and industry standards and assess their applicability to UBS's business model
• analyze sustainability and climate risk data, support model development, and assess associated risks
• support and enhance SCR controls across sustainability and climate risk processes, ensuring strong governance, documentation, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
• contribute to the development and implementation of sustainability and climate risk identification and management frameworks
• support portfolio reviews and help advance risk appetite, methodologies, tools and processes
• contribute to internal reporting, external disclosure and stakeholder communication
• collaborate with risk, finance, and business units to embed sustainability and climate risk into decision-making
• explore and apply AI and emerging technologies to enhance SCR processes and automation"

The team
"You’ll join the Sustainability and Climate Risk team based in Pune, India, part of Group Risk Control, with firm‑wide responsibility for defining and implementing frameworks and controls to manage sustainability and climate risks.
As a Risk Control Analyst, you will act as a second line of defense, partnering closely with the business to identify, assess, and manage regulatory and related risks — helping ensure robust, forward‑looking risk management across the organization.

Your skills and experience
• You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental sciences, climate science, sustainability, finance, economics, or business administration
• 2-5 years of experience in a risk control or sustainability function in the financial sector and/or equivalent corporate or management consulting experience in a relevant content area
• solid understanding of, or strong interest in, managing sustainability risks, including climate risk modelling and key international sustainable finance standards
• experience with control frameworks; experience to AI driven automation is a plus
• strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
• structured, business-oriented mindset with solid project management skills and ability to work independently across a broad agenda
• self-directed, outcome-oriented, proactive and collaborative team player
• fluency in English required, other languages are a plus"
