Key responsibilities
Are you a dynamic and experienced professional with a strong background in operational excellence, digital enablement, and asset management? Do you thrive in interdisciplinary and diverse environments, where strategic thinking, disciplined execution, and collaboration come together to drive sustainable success?
This role is pivotal in shaping the Asset Management COO organization, operating in a fast paced and continuously evolving environment that combines day to day operational management with the ongoing evolution of AM COO processes and operating practices. The role spans multiple dimensions, including end to end business management, investment and change portfolio management, and the structured adoption of emerging capabilities such as artificial intelligence (AI). As a trusted partner to the AM COO and senior leadership, you will play a central role in strengthening an efficient, scalable, and future ready AM COO operating setup.
To support this ambition, we are looking for an experienced Manager, AM COO, with the following responsibilities:
• support the overall orchestration and business management of the AM COO organization, helping to navigate complexity and ensure strategic priorities and objectives are translated into effective execution across business areas, including workforce and capacity planning, financial and service management, and ongoing performance monitoring
• design and continuously evolve the horizontal AM COO operating function across business areas, supported by core management cadences such as the AM Operating Forum and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), working closely with AM business areas, their operating officers, and key functions (including Risk, Finance, and Technology)
• prepare, review, and syndicate high quality management and decision materials for senior stakeholder engagements, working closely with the AM COO and the Head of AM Technology to support informed and outcome oriented discussions
• design and operationalize a robust framework to track AM business cases across their full lifecycle, providing transparency on investments, value realization, benefits tracking, and delivery performance, and enabling fact based decision making at senior management level
• support the development and execution of a clear and actionable AM Technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and the successful delivery of annual objectives
• monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, translating relevant insights into tangible opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and resilience across AM COO and Technology processes and capabilities
• support the development and execution of the AI strategy within AM COO, in close collaboration with AM business areas and the AI Center of Excellence, ensuring value driven and responsible adoption
• foster a culture of collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, acting as a role model and culture carrier for UBS Principles and Behaviors.
