The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking a motivated Information Security Intern to join our team for Summer 2026. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity efforts across a variety of tools, systems, and initiatives. You will work alongside experienced security professionals to help protect critical infrastructure, identify vulnerabilities, and strengthen our overall security posture.

What You'll Do

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of information security policies and procedures
  • Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across systems and applications
  • Help develop and deliver security awareness and phishing training programs
  • Participate in security incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning efforts
  • Assist with deployment and maintenance of security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, vulnerability management platforms)
  • Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and events
  • Support third-party vendor security risk assessments
  • Assist with identity and access management (IAM) processes and user access controls
  • Maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident response plans

What You'll Gain

What We Expect from You

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • Strong interest in cybersecurity and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Familiarity with hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must be available to work full-time during Summer 2026
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the United States

Additional Opportunity Details:
Target Base Compensation for this role is $25/hr.
