The Opportunity

Ulteig and its affiliated companies is hiring a Senior Market Leader to work with clients and identify needs and develop comprehensive solutions. This role focuses on business growth within the renewable market. This position will have a specific focus on innovative client solutions that meet today’s needs, as well as the next generation of solutions that meet the market’s and clients’ evolving needs. This individual should prioritize teamwork and demonstrate excellent collaborative skills at Ulteig, throughout the industry, and in interactions with strategic partners and clients. This person must be curious, a strong critical thinker, and be solution-minded, bringing together resources, partners, and technology.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, promote, and sell services and solutions related to the Renewables industry to existing and prospective clients focused on the assigned service categories.
  • Conduct analysis and assess market potential - develop and execute Lifeline Sector plans and case studies that account for external (industry, competitive, client) dynamics and identify the internal support needed to deliver goals.
  • Participate in coaching/mentoring team members as we onboard and diversify skillsets across our team.
  • Lead with influence across the organization (Business Development, Marketing, Proposals, Project Management, Engineering/Operations, Finance, Legal) to pursue, propose, and win business.
  • Listen to clients, address market challenges, and evolving client needs with compelling, comprehensive solutions.
  • Invest in and have a keen awareness of developing consultative and engineering technologies and solutions.
  • Engage with the industry and with clients to effectively represent Ulteig, enhance Ulteig’s reputation, and build high-impact relationships with new and current clients
  • Identify, develop, and convert opportunities with new and existing clients within the renewable lifeline sector.
  • Additional duties may include tasks beyond what is listed, such as special projects, assisting colleagues, or new initiatives. A willingness to adapt to changing priorities and support team efforts enhances collaboration and growth opportunities.

What We Expect From You

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or Finance degree preferred. An MBA Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, client management, engineering, and/or renewable project development required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy development for a large, utility-scale developer or IPP is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid mode schedule; 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written English communication skills (CEFR level B2–C1). You should be comfortable articulating complex ideas and collaborating effectively within a global professional environment.
  • Strong business acumen: strategic partnerships, innovation, project management, proposals, business development, and consulting engineering
  • Strong reputation in the renewable market, speaking and thought leadership experience at industry events, and solid working relationships with clients
  • Demonstrated business development results and success
  • Highly motivated and results-driven
  • Demonstrates ability to influence and collaborate with individuals at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to travel
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with current and potential clients and internal colleagues
  • Possesses well-rounded knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of associated industries
  • Demonstrates excellent facilitation, presentation, verbal/written communications, time-management, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to be organized, work on multiple projects, and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects
  • Promotes a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Communicates in a clear, concise, and captivating manner.
  • Drives business performance through sound decision-making and accountability.
  • Must have authorization to work legally in Costa Rica for any employer.
