Sales Operations Business Analyst
IT, Sales & Business Development, Operations
United States
The Opportunity
Ulteig’s Dynamics 365 CRM platform supports business development, client engagement, and operational decision-making across the organization. We are hiring a CRM Business Analyst to help teams define business problems, improve processes, and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
As part of the Sales Operations CRM team, you will connect business stakeholders with the D365 delivery team. You will lead discovery, document current and future processes, question assumptions, and help stakeholders move from ideas or proposed solutions to a shared understanding of the problem, expected outcome, process ownership, and requirements.
What Success Looks Like
You will work closely with the CRM Manager to evaluate requests, develop recommendations, identify risks and dependencies, and support roadmap planning and prioritization.
- Business problems, expected outcomes, process owners, and decision-makers are identified before solution work begins.
- Requirements are clear, complete, and ready for the delivery team.
- Stakeholders understand key decisions, tradeoffs, scope, and unresolved questions.
- Process mapping creates a shared understanding of how work happens today and how it should work in the future.
- Data, reporting, security, integration, and cross-system impacts are identified early.
- Requirements remain traceable through design, testing, release, and post-release evaluation.
- Delivered changes can be evaluated against the original business need and expected outcome.
What You’ll Do
Business Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with teams across Sales, Marketing, Proposals, Project Management, Finance, and Business Systems to define requirements and improve business processes.
- Lead stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, workshops, and process reviews.
- Define the business problem, desired outcome, scope, process owner, stakeholders, assumptions, constraints, and measures of success.
- Support the creation of current-state and future-state process maps that clarify roles, decisions, handoffs, business rules, and system interactions.
- Identify root causes and separate business needs from requested features or predetermined solutions.
- Challenge unnecessary complexity and recommend practical approaches that support the business outcome.
- Facilitate discussions involving competing priorities, differing perspectives, and cross-functional dependencies.
- Document decisions, open questions, risks, and required follow-up.
Requirements Definition and Delivery Support
- Translate discovery findings into clear business requirements, process definitions, business rules, and documented decisions.
- Partner with CRM technical team members to translate business needs into functional and system requirements and support solution design.
- Confirm requirements with stakeholders and resolve open questions before work moves into delivery.
- Assess requested scope changes and communicate their effect on business outcomes, dependencies, risk, and timing.
- Provide business and process context to support Azure DevOps backlog development, testing, training, adoption, and release activities.
- Support delivery by clarifying requirements, answering business questions, and helping resolve gaps or conflicting interpretations.
- Participate in post-release reviews to gather stakeholder feedback, assess whether the business need was addressed, and identify potential follow-up work.
Roadmap Support and Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate requests based on business value, readiness, risk, dependencies, affected users, and expected outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual work, improve data quality, and improve the CRM user experience.
- Evaluate automation, Copilot, agent-based, and other AI use cases based on the business problem, data readiness, expected value, risk, and ongoing support needs.
- Partner with the CRM Manager on cross-system impacts involving Sales, Marketing, Proposals, Project Management, Finance, reporting, and other enterprise applications.
- Surface risks, dependencies, conflicting requirements, and emerging concerns early.
- Contribute to retrospectives and improvements to the CRM team’s discovery and delivery practices.
Role Focus and Boundaries
The CRM Business Analyst leads discovery, process analysis, requirements definition, stakeholder facilitation, and requirements traceability. The role contributes business and process expertise throughout delivery but is not the primary owner of:
- Technical solution architecture, configuration, or development
- Dynamics 365 platform administration
- Azure DevOps backlog administration
- Acceptance criteria, test script development, UAT coordination, or quality assurance execution

- Business process ownership

What We Expect from You
- Five or more years of business analysis experience supporting enterprise business applications, sales processes, marketing processes, or client relationship management.
- At least two years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Power Platform applications, or a comparable enterprise CRM platform.
- Experience leading stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, process reviews, and cross-functional workshops.
- Demonstrated ability to identify root causes and turn ambiguous requests into structured business and functional requirements.
- Experience facilitating decisions among stakeholders with different priorities, goals, or levels of authority.
- Experience creating current-state and future-state process maps.
- Experience using Azure DevOps or a comparable backlog and requirements management tool.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Sales or customized, industry-specific CRM solutions.
- Functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 Sales concepts, including Dataverse tables, relationships, forms, views, business processes, security, and automation capabilities.
