The Opportunity

Ulteig and its affiliated companies are hiring a CADD Technician II to support utility-scale solar photovoltaic and battery storage projects. The selected candidate will engage with Ulteig’s structural design teams to provide innovative, forward-thinking design solutions to facilitate the development, design, and construction of solar and battery storage projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Will work with the project engineer to complete detailed structural foundation design solutions on projects as assigned
  • Help the team develop and refine design and drafting standards for projects
  • Work closely with other engineering technicians and experienced engineers.
  • Design will be primarily within AutoCAD with an emphasis on structural details, foundation plans, and pile design.
  • Effectively communicates and interacts with project teams.
  • Additional duties may include tasks beyond what is listed, such as special projects, assisting colleagues, or new initiatives. A willingness to adapt to changing priorities and support team efforts enhances collaboration and growth opportunities.

What We Expect from You

  • Associate or technical degree in Drafting or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in a drafting support role preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit is preferred and would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, quality, and completeness in work products, documentation, and deliverables.
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a professional, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written English communication skills (CEFR level B2–C1). You should be comfortable articulating complex ideas and collaborating effectively within a global professional environment.
  • Must have authorization to work legally in Costa Rica for any employer.
