Job overview and responsibilities

• Responsible for driving improved supplier performance by enforcing warranty and/or liquidated damage remedies for late delivery of aircraft parts. Manager will supervise 2-5 direct reports based in India tasked with identifying, initiating, and settling claims, along with tracking, capturing, and processing payment of such claims from United's aircraft goods and services suppliers.
• This position will in addition act as the primary liaison to the Procurement department in the development of contract language in support of obtaining such remedies and serve as a subject matter expert in the area of technical contract product support provisions and contract incentives
• Initiate and settle warranty claims on aircraft, component, and services
• Perform and supervise analysis on annual volume of over 120,000 purchase orders and 150,000 repair orders to identify available remedies from overdue orders resulting in the timely initiation and settlement of over 600 claims per year
• Maintain, update, and refine a master parts database to properly and accurately associate each and every aircraft part in United's system to a particular vendor and product support agreement for the purpose of collecting remedies from the above-referenced transactions
• Maintain proficiency and currency with Warranty Administration by supporting a portfolio of claims with one or more United vendors
• Collaborate and liaise with the Strategic Sourcing Department in the drafting of liquidated damages language in new agreements
• Provide ongoing mentoring, support and recurrent training as a subject matter expert for the Supply Chain Department with respect to the product support provisions contained in all of United's technical contracts

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Aviation, Legal, Business or similar experience
• 6+ years of data analytics experience, applying knowledge to solve complex business problems
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong business, technical, verbal/written communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Detailed knowledge of warranty processes and materials management procedures
• Adaptability to changing business environment
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• 3+ years of professional experience in analytical field. 2+ years’ experience initiating claims using data extracts, filtering transactions with available knowledge of existing contracts, negotiating settlements with all suppliers and processing payment
• Experience in administration of Boeing PSAA and Airbus SSC product support provisions and working knowledge of Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Able to draft concise product support contract terms
• Advanced knowledge of SCEPTRE data tables
• Ability to write complex SQL queries
