Job overview and responsibilities
This role requires an individual with a passion for customers, excellent analytical abilities, and strong business acumen. As a Senior Analyst on the Customer Insights & Analytics team, you will be using data to influence internal and external stakeholders to make key strategic business decisions. You will be part of customer insights and analytics strategy that supports a continuous cycle of listening, interpreting, driving action and monitoring customer feedback.
We are seeking creative, driven and detail-oriented individuals who enjoy tackling tough problems with data and insights. We are looking for someone with strong technical and analytical background and be able to deliver results with limited supervision. The person must have experience to be able to extract insights from large volumes of data and be able to clearly communicate relevant triggers and recommendations.
- Extract and analyze data from relational databases and reporting systems
- Proactively identify problems and opportunities and perform root cause analysis/diagnosis leading to business impact
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of reports, analyses, dashboards to drive key business decisions
- Identify issues, create hypotheses, and translate data into meaningful insights; present recommendations to key decision makers
- Build predictive models and analyze results for dissemination of insights to leadership of the numerous operations groups at United
- Prepare presentations that summarize data and help facilitate decision-making for business partners and senior leadership team

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- 4+ years of analytics-related experience
- Excellent leadership and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or in a quantitative discipline like Applied Mathematics, Statistics
- Must be proficient in querying and manipulating relational databases via Teradata SQL assistant, Microsoft SQL server, Databricks
- Hands-on experience with quantitative analysis tools (R, Python) and visualization tool (Tableau, TIBCO Spotfire, Power BI)
- Proven analytical and quantitative ability; use data and metrics to validate hypothesis and perform root cause analyses
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
