Technical Operations
Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.
Job overview and responsibilities
Provides real time support and authority for fleet (airframe/component/system) related issues on the fleet. The position provides deferral authority for MEL items and works extensively with a network of stakeholders to ensure compliance, reliability, and schedule integrity. The position supports a central control group and philosophy that flight crews and station maintenance personnel can access for 24/7 real-time authorization and troubleshooting support.
Compliance and Oversight
- Provides authorization for deferral items
- Ensures total adherence to quality standards and compliance by engaging with stakeholders
- Reviews deferrals for correct application and limit control
- Provides real time advice and support for current operations
- Provides flight crews, line maintenance technicians, and dispatch stakeholders with decisions and technical advice on a collaborative basis
- Engages with service engineering, line maintenance, planning, and other support groups to reach a decision on technical completion
Out of Service Support
- Provides real time troubleshooting and guidance to stations with OTS engine and or related issues
- Uses control authority to set direction for OTS issues
- Acts as a conduit for bringing key entities together to determine direction and scope for OTS and complex work issues
Collaboration with Network Operation Center/Field Disciplines
- Participates in cross functional interaction with NOC disciplines (OPB/DD/FO/SW/LP/SK)
- Participates in a 'working together' and collaborative environment consistent with Corporate standards with all employee groups
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant License
- Minimum 5 Years Line Maintenance and or base ‘dock’ production/engineering/related
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
- Further Technical Training in fleet and extensive system knowledge
- 10 Years Line Maintenance with Supervision experience
The starting rate for this role is $46.96.
This is also a bonus eligible position (i.e. profit sharing).
