Job overview and responsibilities:

Our PSS-team is responsible for developing and maintaining our Passenger Service System (PSS), which is the heart of any airline and runs mission-critical and highly complex modules such as Schedule, Inventory, Reservations (PNRs and Tickets), and the Day-of-Departure customer processes! Our team is building new PSS system using the latest digital technologies and digital infrastructure to provide our customer the best digital experience in the industry.
You will be responsible for enhancing collaboration between development and operations teams by automating and streamlining the software delivery process. Key responsibilities include configuring and managing infrastructure, implementing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and optimizing system performance. You will work to improve efficiency, enhance scalability, and ensure the reliability of systems through monitoring and proactive measures. Collaboration, scripting, and proficiency in tools for version control and automation are critical skills for success in this role.


• Manage and optimize API Gateway infrastructure, focusing on automation, CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, and security, ensuring reliable, scalable API delivery for microservices.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software builds, testing, and deployment
• Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and performance
• Demonstrate an innovative mentality by staying aware of new developments (specially AI-automations) within the technology space and present solutions using modern technologies to adapt to provide value to business
• Review security vulnerability reports; develop and implement solutions to maintain compliance with security standards and initiatives.
• Understanding of best practices for AWS, EC2, ECS, EKS and monitoring of containers. Manages capacity planning, updates, upgrades, and internal integration
• Strong understanding of systems, networks and troubleshooting technique
• Experience in automated pipeline build, and continuous integration. Source control, branching, & merging
• Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner
• The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, speaks and writes clearly
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years hands-on industry experience in DevOps (AWS).
• 1+ years of experience in software development
• 6+ years of overall experience in IT
• 2+ years of experience with implementing and maintaining messaging platforms (Solace, MSK)
• 2+ years of experience with experience with API Management (Kong, Anypoint, Apigee)
• 3+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• 3+ years of experience with AWS compute (EC2, EKC, ECS), networking, and identity management (IAM).
• 3+ years of experience with Terraform or Ansible or Cloud Formation.
• Expert with deploying and maintaining containerized microservices.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Harness, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• 3+ years of experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and configuration management tools.
• Knowledge of remediating both application and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of security best practices in a DevOps environment
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools (e.g., ELK stack, Dynatrace)
• Familiarity with configuring static code analysis tools such as Sonar and vulnerabilities detection like Veracode and WIZ.
• Experience with Harness tools.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
• Experience developing fully automated service deployments across environments using gates.
