Job overview and responsibilities

The Staff Representative – Pilot AQP is responsible for analyzing proposed curriculum changes and incorporating them into updated course control documents and the curriculum management software. Assists with United’s AQP curriculum management, to include establishing and maintaining documents and ensuring regulatory compliance. Collaborates with internal and external customers regarding United’s AQP policies and procedures. Ensures United’s AQP is executed in accordance with applicable regulations and program requirements by developing and performing comprehensive Quality Assurance audits.

  • Maintains the pilot training curriculum management software and provides technical support for troubleshooting when necessary
  • Establishes and maintains manuals in United’s 14 CFR Part 121 Pilot Training Advanced Qualification Program (AQP)
  • Conducts Quality Assurance audits of AQP documentation and course control documents
  • Develops and maintains Quality Assurance audit processes and documentation
  • Assists in ensuring all pilot training (curriculum and courseware) content complies with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulation, policy, and procedure
  • Assists in providing regulatory oversight of pilot training policy, process, and data management
  • Provides feedback to Flight Training Organization stakeholders on matters of AQP policy and procedure

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical and/or vocational training environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite software
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master's degree or 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in adult learning and development with specialized experience in analysis, design, and development of 14 CFR Part 121 Advanced Qualification Programs
  • Experience in technical writing
  • Working knowledge of air carrier training programs and associated FAA regulations
  • Knowledge of database management software
  • Knowledge of auditing philosophies and processes
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro, InDesign, and Photoshop

The base pay range for this role is $66,500.00 to $86,616.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
