Job overview and responsibilities
This Associate Analyst position is responsible for assisting analysts and senior analysts to work with suppliers to identify future alternate Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) and Owner Operator Produced Parts (OOPP). This role supports Technical Operations cost saving and reliability initiatives while increasing supplier diversity and reducing risk to the operation.
- Use Supply Chain forecast tools to identify future alternate material usage and financial spends that support future PO Forecast, Repair Orders and Airframe OSVs goals
- Assist in developing these identified alternate materials with both internal and external suppliers to determine worthwhile opportunities
- Assist with auditing United’s technical and planning systems to ensure newly-approved PMA/OOPP and existing PMA/OOPP opportunities are integrated correctly into systems
- Track and report out on ongoing PMA/OOPP reviews and past PMA/OOPP opportunities that have been implemented to identify total approvals and accrued/potential savings attributed to these opportunities
- Assist with the identification of PMA/OOPP opportunities and track the progress of ongoing development projects for PMA/OOPP parts

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field or relevant work experience
- 0-1 years of experience in fields of supply chain, airline or manufacturing industry
- 0-2 years analytical work experience
- Analytical approach to problem solving with attention to detail and a sense of urgency
- Ability to read engineering documents
- Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- Basic SQL, basic Spotfire or Foundry, experience with financial & Ap business intelligence tools, experience with maintenance information systems
