Description
Job overview and responsibilities
Conceive and develop pricing and revenue management strategies that maximize revenue for the Company, while leading a team of pricing and revenue management analysts in implementing strategies to achieve revenue performance goals by managing both disciplines of pricing and revenue management. Encourage individualized and critical thinking within the analyst team, to build a strong knowledge base that is proactive in identifying areas for revenue management and pricing improvement.
- Pricing Operations – determine pricing levels, rules and strategy to maximize revenue and yield in markets through all distribution channels and in all seasons
- Manage the entire pricing process for a team of analysts, while conducting continuous evaluation and revision of fare structures as needed Proactively identify areas where pricing processes can be made more efficient and productive
- Revenue Management Operations – oversees a team of revenue management analysts, senior analysts and strategic analysts in executing revenue management techniques to achieve optimal revenue performance in the Japan and
- Asia-Pacific entity
- Team Management – establish a culture of critical and proactive thinking in pricing and revenue management team members
- Motivate team members to want to be curious and explore new pricing and revenue management ideas
- Ensure a high quality of work life by providing positive leadership and all of the necessary tools for team members to be able to complete their tasks
- Analysis and Coordination – Monitor market performance and economic trends and develop a strategic plan for optimal revenue performance, coordinate communications on revenue management activities with Sales, Marketing,
- Scheduling, Revenue Analysis and Airport Operations groups
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Associate degree or 2 years of relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge of foundations and more esoteric concepts of pricing and revenue management
- Mastery of data analysis and diverse awareness of databases that are available and can be employed in pricing and revenue management analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
- Must be legally authorized to work in Japan for any employer without sponsorship
- Must hold Japanese permanent residency
- Must be fluent in English and Japanese (written and spoken)
