Job overview and responsibilities

The goal of Dispatch Scheduling is to provide, in a professional manner, operational coverage for United Airlines' Dispatcher positions, while consistently and without bias adhering to contractual rules and FAA regulations. This position assists managers and supervisors by performing advanced administrative activities and functions associated with scheduling, basic payroll, report preparation and wellness adminstration associated with office and personnel functions within the NOC. They work closely with union leadership to provide direction and recommendation for future scheduling forecasting. Collaborate with NOC Training and Standards team to manage qualifications and training needs

  • Ensures daily roster needs are met in an efficient manner
  • Calls for shift coverage as needed, in compliance with FAA regulations and in accordance with the CBA contractual requirements
  • Develops and maintains advanced work schedules for NOC functions
  • Processes overtime needs, shift trades and days off requests in accordance with Dispatcher CBA
  • Builds and maintains the Dispatch schedules and bid relief and maintains dispatcher’s qualifications
  • Manages dispatch vacation and holiday schedules and bids
  • Assists and supports the NOC Scheduling Manager with other duties as necessary
  • Assists with data analytics and report preparation

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years in an administrative/scheduling role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; primarily Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams
  • Strong and positive communication skills
  • Customer Service oriented
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to maintain composure in high volume/high pressure situations
  • Ability to analyze and report out on data
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree
  • 3 years scheduling / supervisory experience; experience working with MARS/eTA or other scheduling tools-software; Airline Experience
  • Working knowledge of PAFCA agreement and work rules
  • Data visualization and reporting analytics
  • Presentation skills

The base pay range for this role is $53,960.00 to $70,334.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
