The Manager – Supplier Performance leads a team of analysts that are responsible for on time delivery of aircraft project material. This includes actively overseeing the supplier fulfillment of open orders against project schedules, including adherence, and adapting to changing delivery schedules. Serves as the first escalation point for suppliers. The manager is responsible for proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure continuous material supply supporting planned requirements. The manager leads cross-functional meetings to address material supply issues and implement corrective actions. The manager will create executive reports to communicate program status and escalate concerns prior to high-risk development. This role requires exceptional project management skills, deep understanding of aerospace supply chain management, experience in collaboration with engineering and procurement teams, excellent communication abilities, ability to draw conclusions and guide team actions from large datasets. Manager will identify and action continuous improvement processes within the team and champion opportunities for other teams to do the same, and a keen eye for detail to manage the complexities of supplier relationships and material management for aircraft projects.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership

Develop and lead a team of analysts supporting United aircraft engineering projects and new aircraft material deliveries
Drive team alignment around strategic goals by setting clear objectives, defining success metrics, and leading organizational change initiatives
Document root causes for performance issues and implement lessons learned post project completion
Program Management and Supplier Performance
Collaborate with project teams to understand material requirements and specifications and communicate the requirements to supplier contacts. Champion and lead teams programs to sustain on time material delivery
Develop and deliver concise, high-impact reports and presentations for senior leadership that communicate supplier performance, risks, and strategic recommendations across priority projects
- Support open program orders reviews to ensure delivery dates are reflective of latest project schedules
Operational Support
Coordinate closely with AOG and Base Maintenance Materials teams to ensure material availability for scheduled work
Identify and mitigate operational risk of material delays, escalating when necessary. Supplier on site recovery support, as required, to recover failing programs
Assist team members in resolving exceptions, including supplier invoice and warehouse receiving
Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials and kits.
Conduct or participate in business and program reviews with key suppliers, ensuring supplier performance to agreed schedules and KPIs.
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related
- 5+ years supply chain or related experience
- 2+ years of project or program management experience
- Leadership and people management skills
- Supplier management skills
- Contract knowledge
2+ years of data analytics experience
Knowledge of entire supply chain value stream
- Knowledge of purchasing and sourcing processes
- Efficient with time and adaptable to changing priorities
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $102,220.00 to $133,194.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
