Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in learning and development, learning technology, product management, or process management
  • Up to 25% domestic travel as needed
  • 5+ years of experience guiding and developing high-performing teams
  • 3+ years of experience overseeing enterprise-wide learning functions, including strategy development, vendor selection, implementation, and continuous improvement
  • Proficient in identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions using Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies to drive measurable business outcomes
  • Experienced in leveraging digital platforms and emerging technologies to design, deliver, and optimize training programs that enhance learner engagement and accessibility
  • Proficient in applying AI tools and techniques—including machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI—to automate processes, generate insights, and drive innovation
  • Demonstrated expertise in both product management and process management, with the ability to balance innovation with operational excellence
  • Experience with agile methodologies and large-scale program management
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven success designing and implementing measurement frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of corporate learning programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer-focused mindset
  • Demonstrated negotiation and stakeholder management expertise
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The Senior Manager - Learning Experience & Processes is responsible for strategizing and evolving United’s learning ecosystem, delivering a unified, modern learning experience for all employees. This role requires a unique blend of product and process management expertise to drive innovation in how employees access, engage with, and complete learning in a highly regulated and operationally complex environment. As part of the Employee Experience team, this leader will deliver best-in-class learning experience and solutions to solve complex enterprise challenges by leveraging technology, analytics, operational rigor, process improvement and design excellence. The Senior Manager will partner closely with Global Learning, HR, Operations, and Technology teams to build a seamless, scalable learning ecosystem that supports continuous development and organizational growth and provides the best-in-class experience to our learners. Core accountabilities / key responsibilities:

  • Strategize the learning ecosystem evolution, enhancing the experience of learners in all integrated platforms that supports United’s growth, operational excellence, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and execute a learner-focused roadmap, integrating immersive learning, simulation, AI-enabled tools, into a seamless, modern learning experience
  • Apply process improvement discipline to optimize workflows, system integrations, and seamless user experiences across the learning technology stack
  • Evaluate current and future platform capabilities, prioritize investments, and build business cases to guide learning experience and process decisions (ROI, cost-benefit analysis)
  • Establish governance, policies, and operational frameworks to manage systems, integrations, vendors, budgets, and content delivery
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into platform requirements, process improvements, and roadmap priorities
  • Oversee delivery, performance, and user satisfaction of learning technologies, and guide implementation of new tools and AI-driven solutions in partnership with Digital Technology team

The base pay range for this role is $127,870.00 to $166,492.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
