Job overview and responsibilities
The Senior Investigator, Internal Investigations protects the organization by conducting complex, high-risk investigations that preserve employee safety, safeguard enterprise assets, and uphold institutional integrity. This role exists to ensure serious allegations—including workplace violence, threats, theft, fraud, and misconduct—are resolved through objective, fact-based inquiry that mitigates risk and supports informed decision-making. Through collaboration with Human Resources, Legal, Labor Relations, and business leaders, the Senior Investigator strengthens organizational resilience by identifying emerging risk patterns and informing enterprise-wide prevention strategies.
- Lead and conduct complex investigations related to workplace violence, threats, theft, fraud, and misconduct, ensuring accuracy, objectivity, and defensibility.
- Assess case severity, identify emerging risks, and escalate matters appropriately to protect employees and the organization.
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, Labor Relations, Security, and business leaders to align investigative actions with legal and organizational requirements.
- Prepare clear investigative reports, case summaries, and data-driven insights to support leadership decision-making and compliance needs.
- Identify investigative trends, systemic gaps, and opportunities to strengthen controls, policies, and workplace safety initiatives.
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or related experience
- Demonstrated experience investigating workplace violence, threats, theft, fraud, and employee misconduct.
- Strong investigative capabilities, including interviewing, evidence analysis, fact development, and report writing.
- Experience partnering with HR, Legal, and Labor Relations in a corporate or regulated environment.
- 2+ years of experience conducting internal, corporate, or regulatory investigations.
- Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and risk indicators across cases.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in sensitive, high-impact matters.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or related experience
- Professional certifications such as CFE, CPP, or equivalent.
- Experience with dBeaver SQL or other relational database
- Experience with ticketing/revenue accounting processes
- Experience with reservation system
- Experience with MS Office (Access, Excel, Word)
The base pay range for this role is $81,795.00 to $106,602.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
