Job overview and responsibilities

The Facilities Specialist plays an important role in providing quality support to our Airport Operations in the region. The Facilities Specialist performs maintenance and repairs on station equipment to include upkeep of facilities ensuring safety and operational standards are met to include coordination with other internal and external stakeholders.

  • Successfully completes facility projects, preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs at all outer island locations
  • Inspects station equipment to determine whether repairs are needed
  • Schedules periodic maintenance for station equipment
  • Maintains repair log (fleet focus), inventory of needed parts, and a clean and safe shop
  • Conducts outer island facility inventory surveys and evaluations
  • Audits and investigates work ensuring maintenance & repairs completed to United standards
  • Troubleshoots issues or problems with station equipment as necessary to make repairs
  • Provides daily status updates and completes required documentation for accomplished tasks
  • Performs maintenance and repairs adhering to all federal, local, corporate environmental and safety policies

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year in related facilities maintenance
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Micronesia for any employer without sponsorship
  • Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
