Job overview and responsibilities

This person is responsible for delivering end to end analytical results as a part of the team as well as in individual capacity with minimal guidance. The role requires strategic thinking, strong work ethics and passion for data and analytics with the willingness to dig deep into details. Being organized, disciplined and dedicated towards consistently generating high quality outputs are the keys to success in this role.

• Analyze Domestic Network performance and make recommendations for Network Improvements
• Understand the financial metrics and identify areas of opportunity in the domestic network
• Evaluate performances by markets, fleets and other segmentations to optimize domestic network for better margins and customer experience
• Help develop strategic plans for maximizing long term margin potential for the network
• Analyze schedules to identify better scheduling options to ensure minimum connection times and maximum connections for customers
• Analyze fleet deployment to ensure feasibility of the schedules
• Work with schedulers to drive higher efficiency in schedule building
• Help the team continuously develop and demonstrate improved analysis methodologies
• Understand the assigned tasks from a business perspective and suggest improvements to the existing processes
• Empower data driven decisions by thinking of innovative ways for data consumption and implementing the solutions
• Create and develop presentations for United leadership and external stakeholders

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree required
• 4+ of related experience
• High Quality and Timely delivery of assigned tasks
• Adding value to assigned tasks by understanding the business requirements
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Proficient programming in SQL
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

• Engineering degree from an accredited University
• Masters / MBA preferred
• Experience in analytics related to airline industry

• Experience with Schedule Manager
• Advanced skills in SQL and preferably python
