Job overview and responsibilities
Supports the Global Line Station Business Office with the primary area of focus being the Regional Line Stations (outsourced Domestic locations). The Business Manager will be responsible for supporting the field leaders with administrative functions (managing vendor IDs, reviewing Coupa and HelpHub requests, etc.), station performance (Safety, NPS, MBR, Finance, etc.), project management as well as serving as their advocate within the Corporate Support Center (CSC) for strategic initiatives.
Vendor administration — Oversee end‑to‑end vendor management processes, including creating and maintaining vendor IDs, validating documentation, reviewing and approving Coupa and HelpHub submissions, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or escalate issues as needed.
Project management for facility initiatives — Lead end‑to‑end project coordination for facility improvement requests, including developing business cases, conducting cost/benefit and operational impact analyses, partnering with Corporate Real Estate to scope requirements, and presenting proposals to AO Finance to secure funding and alignment.
Financial performance oversight — Monitor operational and project‑level financial performance, analyze variances, identify drivers and risks, and ensure ongoing alignment with Finance by coordinating forecasts, budget updates, and monthly reporting requirements.
Station opening coordination — Support new‑station launches by participating in recurring start‑up calls, coordinating cross‑functional readiness tasks, managing procurement and ordering of all required station supplies, and providing occasional on‑site support to ensure operational readiness on Day 1.
Regional data analysis leadership — Lead all analytical activities for the assigned region, including developing recurring performance reports, conducting ad‑hoc deep‑dive analyses, identifying operational trends, and delivering insights that inform strategic and day‑to‑day decision‑making.
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in Airport operations, business case development, finance acumen, project management, or data analysis
2+ years Project management experience
Airport Operations
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of finance and executive level presentation skills
Demonstrated analytical acumen 2yrs.
Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative
Demonstrated leadership consistent with the United leadership model
Experience executing initiatives and/or projects with measurable results
In possession of a valid, unrestricted US passport and willingness to travel up to 10%
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Must be willing and able to work at the CSC-Willis Tower in Chicago, IL
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
Bachelor's degree
Airport Operations experience in a line station or Regional Line Station; Knowledge of key Airport Operations performance, finance, safety, AO Balanced Scorecard, and resource planning activities and metrics or previous experience supporting an operating group
The base pay range for this role is $81,795.00 to $106,602.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
