Job overview and responsibilities
Technical Operations includes the maintenance and overhaul of United’s fleet. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment, facilities, supply chain teams and more.
- Action request(s) in United’s material ordering system (TOCS) to ensure material is delivered to required station within timeframe requirements and input update(s) for material entries until part is received
- Responsible for the fulfillment of planned material required for the execution of scheduled workload to support maintenance visit(s) at either outside vendor location(s) (OSV) or internal base location(s)
- Foster relationships both with internal and external business partners by working closely with suppliers, on-site Maintenance and Quality representatives to identify material requirements and determine the best method in obtaining materials utilizing company inventories and best sourcing practices
- Material Coordinator(s) will be required to understand various Corporate and Government regulated manuals; these include the General Maintenance Manual, the Illustrated Parts Catalog (I.P.C.), the IATA Dangerous Goods Manual, various Service Bulletins, and different Engineering Change Request
- Aid and provide guidance to internal business partners/outside vendor (OSV) stakeholders for best practices on long term procurement strategies
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Production Controller(s) for material that is unavailable and/or evaluate alternate options to support material requirements for heavy maintenance events, which may include robbing & expediting material, material purchase(s), review raw stock availability and in-house fabrication
- Initiate M&E# part number set up in United’s ERP system (Sceptre), as needed during standard working hours as well as create purchase orders (PO) and ensure PO receipt, payment, and finalization

Advantageous Skills (Baseline Criteria)
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
- AS in Aviation Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or related fields or comparable experience
- Previous Base Check Coordinator Experience
- Microsoft Office proficiency, aviation background, communication skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in Brazil without sponsorship
- Language requirements: Portuguese/English
