Job overview and responsibilities

To develop and implement training scheduling plans to support the overall staffing plan in the most efficient manner, optimizing both instructor pilots and all available resources.
Schedule Note: This opportunity is in-person at United's Flight Training Center in Denver. It's a fast-paced, shift-work position that may include working early or late shifts, weekends, and holidays.

  • Maintain proficiency in applying Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), pilot contract provisions, and internal company policies relevant to pilot training scheduling and operations.
  • Proactively plan, coordinate, and facilitate day-to-day scheduling activities to ensure smooth and efficient training operations.
  • Ensuring timely and effective communication within the training department and other key stakeholders.
  • Respond to incoming calls and inquiries from pilots, providing accurate information and resolving scheduling-related questions with professionalism and clarity.
  • Monitor and manage scheduling-related action items across multiple platforms, including the inbox, Help Hub Dashboard, and scheduler team chats, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and agility in a fast-paced environment by quickly learning and integrating new scheduling tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be reliable and punctual is a crucial function of the position
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Scheduling experience (not constrained by a # of years)
  • Operational experience (not constrained by a # of years)
  • Ability to manage stress in high-pressure situations
  • Collaboration skills

  • Knowledge of contractual work rules and Federal Aviation Regulations
  • Ability to show strong attention to detail


The base pay range for this role is $57,784.00 to $65,062.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
