The Master Scheduler is an integral member of the Program Management Office (PMO) and is responsible for the development and maintenance of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for multiple projects. The Master Scheduler is also responsible for generating and maintaining the critical path networks and logic, and controlling and tracking changes to the schedule baseline. The Master Scheduler will be responsible for determining risk with tasks within the project schedule critical path network. The Master Scheduler works with project managers to develop detailed schedules and assists the project managers in keeping those schedules current. The Master Scheduler coordinates and maintains with program management the integration of multiple project schedules into an overall Master Program Schedule.

Additionally, the Master Scheduler will provide schedule performance visibility to program management through metrics, reports and briefings.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Developing detailed Schedules and maintaining them for weekly deliverables to the client
  • Reviewing, comparing, and analyzing schedule performance against baseline program plans
  • Analyzing schedules with the ability to identify and make recommendations to ensure completeness, while minimizing risks, and promoting processes to help ensure schedule viability and usefulness to the customer, including discovery and tracking of critical paths for decision-making
  • Collaboration with program and project managers to derive and create metrics for process improvement
  • Forecasting performance and performing risk analysis of schedules, and providing management with an understanding of the current schedule, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions to ensure future performance

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in scheduling systems to include schedule planning, schedule development, and schedule analysis
  • Experience involving the development of Integrated Master Schedules
  • Solid knowledge of SDLC phases, agile framework and associated work products
  • Solid knowledge of MS Project and Risk Management
  • Proven excellent oral and written communication skills are strongly desired, as well as the ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, if required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified
  • Knowledge in EVM practices
  • Agile certifications

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
