Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) and customer leadership to identify learning needs
  • Design and develop online instructor-led and self-paced learning solutions using e-learning authoring tools in various formats, including instructor-led presentations, graphics, audio, video, job aids, games, and animation technologies
  • Integrate instructional strategies for adult learners considering technology and time constraints
  • Deliver classroom (virtual) learning experiences
  • Collaborate with peers across the training organization to evaluate and improve learning solutions
  • Communicate effectively with customers, learning audience and peers
  • Use project management systems to monitor, update, and report on the status of ongoing projects
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Use Agile methodologies to meet deadlines and plan for and execute project planning tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with instructional design authoring tool(s)
  • 1 + years of experience designing and developing engaging, effective, and large-scale learning programs that adhere to adult learning principles
  • 1 + years of experience collaborating with subject matter experts, trainers, and other professionals to identify learning needs, develop learning objectives, and implement appropriate instructional strategies
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and experience with effective project planning, execution, administrative tasks, and delivery
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft 365 products (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SharePoint (document access, upload/sharing, storage)
  • Experience with project management tool(s) such as Asana, Trello, or JIRA, and comfortable using agile methodologies for project planning and execution
  • Proficient in authoring tools such as Rise 360, Vyond, Canva, PowerPoint, Kahoot, Camtasia, or Adobe Creative Suite and LMS platforms
  • Any experience building engaging, effective, online learning courses and tools, and using current and successful strategies within a corporate environment
  • Experience with incorporating multiple media elements into learning programs including audio, video, animation, simulation, and self-developed graphics
  • Experience in conducting learning analysis
  • Proven ability to work through ambiguity self-manage complex projects and related administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Work samples and/or portfolio submitted with application
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges
  • Adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to adjust to changing priorities and requirements as needed
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
  • A customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences that meet the needs of learners and stakeholders

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
