The Reporting Analyst will Design, develop, implement, and maintain tools used to provide data and reporting solutions used by the Underwriting Reporting Team. This individual will coordinate the business specifications for projects and translate them into reporting database solutions, troubleshooting issues as they arise. They will need to learn how to work with subject matter experts to design, develop and implement data and data structure solutions, ad hoc reports, and analytical tasks. Your role is pivotal to process improvement and creative solutions for data tracking tools.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain SQL database architecture (tables, views, stored procedures, functions
• Create and maintain SSIS, VBScript, SSRS, and VBA
• Troubleshooting issues related to SQL environment
• Manage, integrate, problem solve, and analyze complex, disparate data sets
• Modify data to capture new metrics
• Act as a subject matter expert for others
Required Qualifications:
• Ability to determine root cause, provide recommended solutions and implement changes for processing failures in SQL and VBA
• Ability to analyze, understand, and edit/simplify complex, multistep, SQL code and functions, including sequential impact of commands
• Strong experience performing significant data design, data analysis and standardized structure in SQL
• Proven experience with relational databases
• Advanced Excel skills (Formulas, Lookups, Pivot tables, Charts, VBA coding, editing, and troubleshooting)
• Strong proven experience with SQL Server Management Studio and SSIS
