The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Ancillary analysis and validating Provider Network (physicians, hospitals, pharmacies, ancillary facilities, etc.) contracting and unit cost management activities through financial and network pricing modeling, analysis, and reporting. They will also conduct unit cost and contract valuation analysis in support of network contracting negotiations and unit cost management strategies. This role will manage unit cost budgets, target setting, performance reporting, and associated financial models.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Ancillary modeling for all ancillary types
- Ensure that healthcare contracts are priced accurately and effectively
- Support and validate provider network contracting and unit cost management
- Conduct financial and network pricing modeling, analysis, and reporting
- Perform unit cost and contract valuation analysis in support of network contracting negotiations and unit cost management strategies
- Manage unit cost budgets, target setting, performance reporting, and associated financial models
- Review work performed by others and recommend improvements
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them
- Perform complex conceptual analyses and serve as a resource on critical issues
- Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions
- Provide explanations and information to others

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of analytical experience in financial analysis, health care pricing, network management, health care economics or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience with provider payment methodologies and healthcare products
- 2+ years of experience in creating and using financial modeling tools, spreadsheets, and information acquisition tools
- Intermediate level of proficiency in performing financial impact analysis, risk management, and data manipulation
- Advanced level proficiency with MS Excel and Access
- Willing and able to work Central Standard Time Zone hours
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with medical coding (CPT, DRG, ICD-9, ICD-10, etc.)
- Intermediate knowledge of Power BI or Tableau
- Excellent communication, time/project management, problem solving, and organization skills
- Ability to successfully manage expectations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
