This position is full time. Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 6am – 6pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Our office is located at 19500 IH 10 W San Antonio, TX. Employees will be required to work 3 days onsite and 2 days from home.

We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be aligned with your schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise daily / weekly / monthly activities of a team members including setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met
  • Coordinate work activities with other supervisors, managers, departments, etc.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment
  • Provide coaching, feedback and annual performance reviews as well as formal corrective action

This is a challenging role with serious impact. We’ll look to you to motivate and empower your team to provide best in class service. You’ll need to combine expertise and exceptional claims support with analyzing and researching complex claims.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and solving problems in an office, claims or customer service environment
  • 2+ years of medical claims, appeals, or grievance experience
  • 1+ years supervisory or leadership experience
  • Healthcare experience
  • Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work between the hours of 6:00am – 6:00pm

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a high production environment
  • Ability to multi-task including the ability to understand multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Reside within commutable distance of San Antonio, TX
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
