Primary Responsibilities:
- Debugging and problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and debug code, identify and fix issues, and find solutions to problems
- Testing and quality assurance: Knowledge of testing frameworks like JUnit, or Selenium for writing and executing tests, as well as understanding the importance of code quality and test coverage
- Collaboration and communication: Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholders
- Continuous learning mindset: Eagerness to learn new technologies, frameworks, and best practices, as well as staying updated with the latest trends in software development
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies: Understanding of Agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, including concepts like sprints, user stories, and backlog management
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills: Ability to analyse problems, break them down into smaller tasks, and come up with effective solutions
- Attention to detail: Paying close attention to details, writing clean and maintainable code, and following coding standards and best practices
- Self-motivation and proactiveness: Taking initiative, being self-driven, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve skills and contribute to the team’s success

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge in programming language/Utils: Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Maven, Junit, TestNG, Rest API
- Knowledge in Ci/CD: Jenkins, Maven
- Knowledge in Source Code Management: Git Hub/Bit Bucket
- Cloud: Exposure to AWS/Azure
- Database: Exposure to DB2/PostgreSQL/Oracle
- Testing Expertise:
- Experience with various testing techniques, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and performance testing
- Proficiency in creating comprehensive test cases for functional and non-functional testing
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute effective test plans
- Test Automation:
- Solid expertise in using industry-standard test automation tools and frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber
- Proven ability to develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage
- Documentation Skills:
- Proficiency in documenting test plans, test cases, and defect reports accurately and clearly
- Solid ability to maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing purposes
- Performance Test Scripting and Execution:
- Experience in defining realistic performance scenarios, setting up test environments, and effectively executing performance tests
- Proven ability to develop performance test scripts that accurately simulate user behaviour
- Solid analytical skills to analyse performance test results and identify performance bottlenecks
- Train and mentor junior quality engineers and provide guidance on quality assurance best practices
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs:
- Understanding of RESTful API concepts, HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE), and how to consume APIs using tools like Postman
