Primary Responsibilities :

Customer Focus:
* Work with product manager and business to obtain voice of customer (VOC) and identify capabilities to add to the product
• Define and provide direction for user experience and user interface (if applicable to product)
• Create user documentation (if applicable to product)
• Create and communicate the value proposition via internal marketing material for product promotion

  • Designs, develops, and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.
  • Responsible for the full product lifecycle management, with a technical focus, including strategy, design, development, management, and end of life of new, existing or acquisition products.
  • Leverage market insights to understand market/customer needs as well as emerging technology developments and trends to identify new opportunities or make adjustments to current product offerings.
  • Balances deep subject matter expertise in the product, business use cases and strong technical aptitude.
  • Accountable for delivering product performance against expectations and updates changes to a product portfolio to improve competitive position, and optimal product performance to meet customer and market needs.
  • Accountable to and/or own the P&L.
  • Responsible for cross-functional stakeholder management to include but not limited to design, engineering, scrum teams, business leaders, etc., functioning as technical expert with a fluency in development concepts and modern development practices.
  • Positions in this function may require a background or degree in computer science or engineering.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ yrs of experience
  • Sound Healthcare background and product knowledge

Product Management Discipline
• Possess an in-depth understanding of lean product management best practices and frameworks.
• Understand capabilities across the portfolio / product line.
• Not prescriptive, with theoretical definitions of what’s needed in every scenario. Instead, you consider the challenge, dependencies, constraints, and apply the right tools based on your knowledge of various product management methodologies/frameworks.
• Understands cross customer deliverables between product lines
• Partners appropriately to support dependencies
• Partners appropriately across the portfolio to minimize overlapping work
• Ensures high-level roadmap alignment across portfolios where required
• Effectively looks ‘up and out’ to influence multiportfolio capabilities and their dependencies; enables on-time delivery via manageable features/stories
coordinated across teams
• Negotiates win-win solutions across teams and lines of business (cross application / cross portfolio)
• Communicates effectively with all senior stakeholders (up to Senior Leadership)
• Clearly communicates strategic portfolio direction via multi-year roadmap

Technical Acumen
• Speaks credibly to both business and technology partners across teams and levels
• Clearly communicates strategic portfolio direction via multi-year roadmap
• Understand the infrastructure/technology/flow of product
• Understand the system components and how they integrate
• Influence the prioritization of the product backlog
• Evaluating technical alternatives and decomposing significantly complex problems into straightforward technical propositions
• Fluent in Aha, Rally, GitHub
