Primary Responsibilities:
- Align Incentives: This position will report into our Senior Vice President of Clinical Data Strategy and will play a key role coordinating cross company efforts to align our enterprise data strategy with the needs of our various BUs
- Data Governance Operating Model: The individual hired for this role will be responsible for leading the work of specific workgroups who provide critical deliverables, make recommendations, and force decisions in the area of clinical data
- System Investment & Resource Prioritization: As we continue to evolve our operating model as an enterprise, this role will be a key contributor to how we think about clinical data at the group level. This emphasis on group-level thinking will require a keen awareness of organizational complexities and the ability to navigate matrixed teams
- Accelerate Delivery of Value to Business: The ongoing expansion of available clinical data to inform member and clinician decisions makes this area one of the highest impact areas for someone who wants to play a role driving down costs and improving outcomes
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with data teams across UHG to understand, reconcile and prioritize data requirements
- Drive with urgency and for clarity on how clinical data use cases should be evaluated, prioritized and assessed for impact
- Interface with executive leadership across BUs to make formal recommendations on approach and prioritization of current data-related investments and novel clinical data assets

Required Qualifications:
- Ability to navigate a highly matrixed environment where you will have more influence than authority
- Experience driving cross-company activities with clinical, technology and vendor management teams in the role as lead facilitator
- Experience working on ingestion, normalizing and reasoning over clinical data
- Familiarity with interpreting and validating cost benefit analysis
- Proven effective presentation skills including ability to create and deliver executive level slide decks
- Experience navigating highly ambiguous environments where the need to create clear and actionable work both as an individual contributor, as well as a facilitator of the work of others, has been demonstrated
- Proven track record of using strategic thinking skills to drive for program clarity
- Experience leading program or product teams from incubation to delivery and quantifiable business impact
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with various types of clinical data and interoperability standards
- Familiarity with agile development and product management
- Project management experience in technology and healthcare industry environment
- Ability to be self-motivated, self-directed, team oriented, responsible with a positive attitude and a proactive style
- Ability to shift priorities quickly
- Ability to be a super communicator, across multiple levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability for systems thinking and complex problem solving

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
