As the Senior Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the vision for enabling solutions on United AI Studio (enterprise ML platform). As a senior engineer, you will ensure technical tasks and properly detailed, designed and executed per existing standards. You will also need to work with other engineering teams and leaders – solving their use cases, discussing issues and resolving them. The engineering work is primarily done using cloud-based services like Azure, AWS, and GCP, and it is therefore essential that for our engineers to be successful, they should have had experience working on cloud-based services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with the United AI Studio engineering teams to help solve business problem
- Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security
- Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team’s deliverables
- Write high quality distributed system software
- Decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions
- Perform code review and mentor junior engineers
- Should be flexible, adapting to meet the needs of the team, project, or product
- Solicit differing views and are willing to change your mind as you learn more
- Mentor junior engineers
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 8+ years industry experience as a Software Engineer or a Software Developer
- Experience using terraform or other CI/CD IaC is good to have
- Experience working in a complex, service-oriented service development
- Experience in working with engineering leaders
- Good understanding on the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling)
- Proficiency in cloud platforms and services (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Good knowledge on technology stack like Java (Spring Boot), REST APIs, Python
- Solid computer science and development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
- Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, testing, and operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using terraform or other CI/CD IaC
- Any knowledge or working experience on AI/ML projects
