During our 10-week internship program, you will gain meaningful work experience and exposure to the nation’s leading health care company, while learning what a career at UnitedHealth Group will have in store for you. You will be assigned to a team that aligns with your career aspirations, influence business recommendations to senior leadership teams and partner with a dedicated mentor and manager that will support you as you take on challenges of key importance to the company. You’ll be empowered to build relationships, drive innovation across the business, and share in a growth mindset. In addition, you’ll have access to trainings and curriculum to provide you with foundational knowledge necessary to truly become a subject matter expert. The goal of our internship is to put people first and stay true to our mission – helping people live healthier lives and helping the health system work better for everyone.

This full-time hybrid internship position will be available Summer 2025.

The Marketing Internship Program is comprised of various tracks within our Enterprise Marketing & Customer Office. This particular role supports the new Client Engagement Marketing function within OI Provider Marketing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement Marketing campaign(s): Deliver an improved client experience through scaled, targeted, and behavior-based digital communications. Design client journeys that align customer success with business needs, craft messaging, and identify value-forward resources and next steps
  • Segmentation and contact management: Appropriately segment across client populations. Maintain and grow contact database
  • Data & analysis: Document digital communication performance, conduct statistically significant A/B tests, and report back on findings to stakeholders
  • Support tasks: Assist with client engagement events, requirements gathering, goal setting, campaign ideation/planning, execution, multichannel communications, results measurement, and reporting
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college / university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or another related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA

The hourly range for this role is $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
