This position is full-time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am – 4:30 pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 1420 S Central Ave, Glendale, CA.
We offer 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepping and scanning of documents to the cerner electronic medical record
- Handling phone calls to assist w / medical record requests
- Processing all release of information (ROI) requests, specifically medical record, and billing requests, in a timely and efficient manner
- Other general HIM clerical duties

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent years of work experience
- Must be 18 years of age OR Older
- 2+ years of experience in Customer Service
- Experience with Release of Information (ROI) and medical record releases
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am – 4:30 pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
- Experience with working in a hospital, physician’s office, OR medical clinic setting
- A clerical OR administrative support background
- Experience in working with electronic health record
- Knowledge of HIPAA
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 – $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
